Privacy Policy
Last updated August 4, 2026
This page is maintained by tourQ and explains what we collect when you buy a ticket on tourQtickets, why we collect it, and who it is shared with. It is a description of our practices, not a certification.
1. Scope
This policy covers tourQtickets, the public ticketing marketplace operated by tourQ. It does not cover what an event Organizer does with your information after we share it with them, or what a venue collects at the door. Those are governed by the Organizer's and venue's own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
You give us: your name, email address, phone number when provided, billing details entered at checkout, the tickets you select, and any message you send to support.
Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps. We use this for security, fraud prevention and understanding which events people are looking for.
From our processors: Stripe returns a payment confirmation, the card brand and last four digits, and a fraud risk signal. We never receive or store your full card number or CVC.
3. How we use it
To process your order and deliver your tickets; to send transactional messages such as confirmations, entry instructions, schedule changes and cancellations; to verify tickets at the door; to prevent fraud, abuse and bot purchasing; to provide customer support; to operate and improve the marketplace; and to comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. How long we keep it
Order and ticket records are retained while your account is active and afterwards for as long as needed to honour refunds, resolve disputes, and satisfy tax and accounting requirements. Support correspondence is kept for a limited period after resolution. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
7. How we protect it
Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Data is stored on managed infrastructure with access controls, and internal access is limited to people who need it to operate the service and support your orders. Card data is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider, and never touches our servers.
No online service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California, Colorado and similar jurisdictions also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
You can update your details in your buyer account, or send a request to tourQ support. We will verify your identity before acting. Note that we cannot delete records we must keep for a completed transaction, and requests about data already shared with an Organizer may also need to be sent to them.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. Transactional messages about a ticket you hold cannot be turned off while the event is upcoming.
9. Children
tourQtickets is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
The platform is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you access tourQtickets from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your home country.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post updates here with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear.
12. Contact us
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact tourQ support through your buyer account or the help link in your order confirmation email.
